DescriptionBrass pan with hinged lid and long handle. Handle turned on lathe, baluster turnings at top, bulb at bottom. Socket for handle riveted to pan side with copper. Hinge riveted with copper to top of handle socket and rim of lid. At front of lid is small brass loop handle attached with copper. Pan and lid have slight rims, both rolled around iron wire. Lid has design of pierced holes and stamping: hole in center, ring of stamped ovals around it, two pairs of incised rings, outside of which six points between six holes, inside each point is a fern-like design and three circles, two more incised rings and 12 holes around outside, between each of which four circles. More rings lightly incised outside of that. Handle varnished.
