MarkingsPaper label with red border on one of top frame members, written in ink: "A-341". "41" later crossed out, "71" written above. This numbering system probably dates from the 1930s and indicates a locatin in "Attic 3".

DescriptionFoot warmer with pan, or foot stove. Wood frame enclosing tinplate box with hinged door, with removeable pan for coals inside. Lathe-turned corner posts, inside cut away for box. Bail handle (probably a replacement). Stained red, varnished. Holes in top of box between frame members. Door and sides of box have pattern of punched holes: three concentric circles of large holes (two on door), with diamonds of small holes in four corners and center of each side. Box painted gray over plating. Pan round, with bottom and side flanged and soldered. Two holes near rim.
