MarkingsLabel on top of top cross pieces of frame, has written in ink: "A-3-42". "42" later crossed out and "72" written above. Numbering system probably indicates that it was once stored in attic 3, and has at least been in collection since 1930s.

DescriptionFoot warmer with pan, foot stove. Wood frame enclosing tinplate box with hinged door, with pan for coals inside, removeable. Two additional cross pieces on top of frame. Bail handle on frame. Wire loop latch on door. Holes in top of box between frame members. Door and sides of box have pattern of punched holes: heart inside circle with one large hole in center. Pan of one piece of tinplate, creased in corners to make angled sides. One side extends out to form flat handle. Wood painted or stained black or dark brown.
