DescriptionWood frame enclosing tinplate box with hinged door. Frame mortise and tenoned together, with four lathe turned corner posts. Inside corner of each post cut away to fit box. Two extra cross pieces on top of frame. Bail handle. Box flanged and soldered together. Edge of door rolled around wire, which is attached at right by strips of tinplate, forming hinges. Simple wire loop latch on door. Top of box has three groups of punched holes arranged between frame members. Three sides and door have pattern of punched holes: heart inside a circle, in center a smaller circle, and in each corner a diamond. Wood stained brownish red.
