DescriptionTea kettle with cover. Cast iron post with cast spout attached after casting. Flat bottom, slightly curved sides. Narrows at top with lip for cover. Spout curved with shaped end. Two fittings with holes, through which is hooked a bail handle of oval shape. At front of kettle is a fitting to which is bolted an arm of thin iron which tapers to bottom, and is curled at top. Arm used for tipping kettle when hanging. Cover cast, domed with moldings. Brass finial at top. Outside of pot and cover (including finial) painted black. Very thin, 7 3/8" gate mark on bottom of kettle. Detached pieces at bottom of kettle.
