DescriptionCast iron pan, with cast handles and three cast legs attached after casting. Pan is relatively shallow, with rounded bottom edges, and a lip to hold a cover, now missing. Edge slightly molded. Legs flat on inside, rounded on outside. Handle flat on bottom, top has shallow groove, with tip flat. Handle thinner at center, with rounded end. c. 3 7/8" gate mark on bottom of pan. Entire pan apparently painted with some sort of thick plack paint at some point. Also known as a "baking kettle".
