DescriptionPot (kettle) of cast iron, with three legs applied after casting, bail handle. Pot is large and deep with rounded bottom, sides sloping out to top, slight molding at rim. Rim raised at two points with holes for handle. Handle hand-forged, square in section with slightly chamfered edges. Legs flat on inside, rounded on outside. Pinched slightly above tip. Two large, c. 4" long gate marks on bottom of pot. Also two other marks thinner and longer, also gates ?? Outside of pot is painted.
