DescriptionConsists of round base with handle extending from one side, carved from one piece of wood. Edge of base chamfered, bottom and top of base dished out somewhat. Through center of base is carved upright dowel. Lower end of upright has wedges inserted. At the top of upright is a thin piece of iron with flared notched end (notch about 1"). This piece attached with nail into end of upright, but is loose enough to spin all the way around. 2" from top of upright is iron hanger--a thin squared piece of iron with curved shape. Outer end of hanger is curled out, other end is sharp point which is nailed through upright, protruding slightly on other side. Mark on bottom, see additional information. May have been painted black at one point.
