DescriptionMaple, ash, rush. Slat back arm chair with rush seat. All posts turned with straight turnings and bulb-like sections and incised rings. Top of front posts have flattened balls; tops of rear posts have ball, ring, and tall pointed finial. Three horizontal slats, mortise and tenoned into back posts, top one pegged at back. Slats straight on bottom, with curves at ends at top. Arms have same shape, fitted into posts. Two stretchers each on front & sides, one at back bottom. Front stretchers turned with incised rings others plain. Seat rails fit into posts, support rush seat. Painted black with gold on bulb and ball sections of turnings. Metal slides added at bottoms of all legs.
