DescriptionMaple, ash. Corner chair with rush seat and two horizontal slats. One low leg at front, three high posts around back. All turned with ball-like feet and vase turnings and incised rings at top. Three posts all fit into arm piece of two pieces lapped at center, with flat crest piece at center back (ends of which cut in reverse curves). Hands rests cut in large circles. Two horizontal, curved slats between posts, both curved on tops, straight on bottoms. Painted black over red paint and possibly an earlier coat of paint. See file for more description.
