DescriptionWood (unknown), rush. Late Sheraton "fancy" chair with rush seat. Back posts curved back above & below seat, angled out to top, tapered at bottom, turned with shallow rings. Flat curved crest rail at front of back posts with rolled top edge. Three bars at back just above seat. Arms angled out, with large scrolled front ends which sit on low turned supports. Horseshoe shaped seat, with strip applied around edges. Front legs straight, turned with reels and bulbs at top, rings, tapered to feet; tops fit into exposed flat ends of front seat rail. One front stretcher with diamond shaped center. Two plain round stretchers, on on each side. Painted black all over with gold stripes and oval and scroll design at center of crest. Seat painted grey on top. See T1408.
