DescriptionChromolithograph on paper. Embossed and colored alphabet cards, doubled for standing. Each card has a "letter is for ___" phrase on the card that continues onto back. Minimal scenes are depicted behind each letter with full scenes corresponding to the letter's phrase on the back of the card. Letter "A" has the maker's marks. (front) Letter H is blue. Branches behind the letter. "H stands for the Hen,/ who, under her wing," (back) Brown hen bends down to six chicks in the grass in front of fence. "Will shelter her Chickens,/ when sleepy, kind thing."
