DescriptionChromolithograph on paper. Embossed and colored alphabet cards, doubled for standing. Each card has a "letter is for ___" phrase on the card that continues onto back. Minimal scenes are depicted behind each letter with full scenes corresponding to the letter's phrase on the back of the card. Letter "A" has the maker's marks. (front) Letter D fades from yellow to orange to red with red lines where yellow and red meet. A fence behind the letter. "D for the Dog, who/ can carry big sticks," (back) A white dog sits in front of a fence and holds a walking cane in its mouth. "Sit up and beg,/ and do all sorts of tricks."
