DescriptionWood, silk taffeta. Modern reproduction of early 19th century pegged wooden dolls. Simple, round head with painted features: blue eyes, pink cheeks, red lips, gray hair parted on side with bun in back. Wooden body with jointed arms, hips and knees. Crudely carved pointed hands. Low heels carved into slippers. Painted black. Black silk taffeta skirt and top. Lace at cuffs and neck. Black taffeta bonnet with lace edging around face and ribbon along bottom edge of back coming to tie under chin. White flannel petticoat edged with crochet edging. White cotton drawers edged with tating tied onto wooden torso with white thread.
