DescriptionHeavy composition head; cloth stuffed torso; wood legs; leather hands; silk shirt and pants. Ethnicly dressed male doll carrying large tray. Heavy composition head with hair or hat missing. Molded features with painted details; brown eyes and eyebrows, pink lips and cheeks. Cloth-stuffed body with cloth-hung, leather arms. Hands shaped like mittens. Wooden legs covered with silk (?)": square wooden feet covered with black silk. Off-white silk shirt with long, puffy sleeves and off-white silk, very full trousers pulled tight at the ankles. Green, blue and black striped vest with wide lapels lined in off-white silk and edged with lace. Yellow vest embroidered with red and white "flowers" and green vines. Off-white cotton undershirt with straight neckline edge in wide row of lace. Wide red textured silk waistband tied in front. Peach velvet slip-on shoes with yellow embroidery and turned up, pointed toes. Large black painted tray sewn with black thread to hands of doll-through two holes in tray. Black tray painted with pink, white, yellow flowers, green leaves and blue flower buds. Gold scrolled line painted around inside edge of tray. Gray decorative lines painted from inside edge to outer edge of tray.
