DescriptionFireplace shovel with hollow cast brass handle with turnings to match: straight section at bottom with single reel, then ball and steeple as on irons (H1001). Shaft goes through center of handle, tapers below handle, flattened and riveted to bottom of blade. Blade at slight angle to shaft, with low angled walls, rounded top corners, and sides flared at bottom.
