DescriptionJapanned tinplate and brass coffee urn with cover. Square brass base with bell-shaped feet. Base is stepped. Bottom of urn, brass, fits inside top of base, held together with iron bolt and plate. Rim of urn has molded brass ring. Brass spigot at bottom of urn, with oval brass plate where joined to urn. Spigot handle is green-stained wood or bone. Handles on each side of urn are long strips of brass with reeded pattern which curl back to rim and have leaf terminals. Inside urn is a vertical tin plated copper cylinder. Cover is hammered tinplate rising to point in center, with rim at bottom. Brass finial base with pierced slots, and urn finial. Outside of urn and cover painted black with wavy red lines, varnished. Copper and bell metal, empire style. Hot water.
