DescriptionBandbox with cover. Pasteboard, paper, string, papier mache(?). Large rectangular box with rounded corners, with removeable cover. Walls of box have been sewn to bottom of box, and rim of cover sewn to top of cover with string. Box and cover covered with wallpaper. Blue background, with design in white, pink, green, brown of a man and woman on either side of a fountain in the form of an urn, with trees in the background. Design is repeated three times on walls of box and appears on cover. Outside rim of cover has strip with pink circles with brown dots. Inside of box lined with white paper. Inside rim of cover has yellow paper. Holes punched in side of box, and remains of string handle (?).
