DescriptionTea caddy (C326) with cover (C326a). Porcelain, feldspathic glaze. Partial tea service: two cups (with handles), caddy with cover. Cups have molded handles. Caddy has straight walls with curved shoulders and cylindrical neck. Caddy cover has strawberry finial with applied leaves. Decorated in overglaze enamels: border on shoulder of caddy, rim of caddy cover, and outside of cups of blue serpentine band outlined in gold with gold stars. Central medallion on both sides of caddy and once on each cup of two birds holding flower between beaks, encircled by branches of oak leaves and acorns tied at bottom with bow; all in black, gold, sepia, and blue. Originally there was a serpentine line of gold leaves just below the borders on all pieces, now only ghost marks remain.
