DescriptionMaple, ash stretchers. Front and side stretchers turned in double Portuguese bulb design. Bannister back. A lower front stretcher was removed when the feet (probably balls) were cut off in order to lower the chair. Five balusters, center one a replacement. Cresting is not carved but cut in the form of a crown. Original rush seat in four segments, painted red. Chair painted black.
