DescriptionEight-day clock. Mahogany case, enamelled dial. Dial in usual form with the straight top broken by a semi-circle in which is painted a spray of moss roses; above the VI on the dial is a calender attachments in a semi-circular slot. The hours are marked with Roman numerals. In the spandrels are painted sprays of moss roses. The hood molded and shaped to follow the arched outline of the dial. Surmounting it are three brass ball finials mounted on blocks, and a fretted cresting, most of which is broken. Either side the dial are fluted columns with plain brass bases. The flutes are inlaid with brass one-third the way up the front of each column. The quarter columns either side the case are molded and ornamented with brass. Base is molded and the case is inlaid with fine lines of satin wood.
