DescriptionTall clock. Mahogany, mahogany veneer, holly, white pine, brass, painted iron. Sheraton style case. Enameled dial. The dial is in the usual form with the straight top broken by a semi-circle. There is a small second hand dial; and above the VI is a calender attachment in a semi-circular slot. The hours are marked with Roman numerals. In the spandrels are painted sprays of flowers. The hood is moulded and shaped to follow the arched outline of the dial. Surmounting it are three brass ball finials mounted on blocks, and a fretted cresting. Either side of the dial are fluted columns with brass Corinthian capitals, and plain brass bases. The flutes are inlaid with brass one third the way up the front of each column. Refinished by Hennessey, spring 1930.
