DescriptionDocument from Derby and Jarvis Family documents (collection 2023.18.1), a collection of about 100 deeds and mortgages to land in Concord, from 1777 to 1909. Folded document, faded blue paper, front reads, "Francis Jarvis, and / Edward Jarvis." The inside is a deed to two plots of land in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Concord. The deed reads, "Know all Men by these Presents, that / the Inhabitants of Concord, in the County of Middlesex and Commonwealth of Massa- / chusetts, in consideration of forty give dollars, to them paid by / Francis Jarvis of said Concord and Edward Jarvis of Dorchester, the receipt / whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby give, grant, bargain, sell and convey to the / said Edward Jarvis and Francis Jarvis and their heirs and assigns / forever, two lots of land in Sleep Hollow Cemetery, in said Concord, situated on the way / called Glen Avenue and numbered forty eight, / and forty seven on the plan of said Cemetery..."
