DescriptionDocument from Derby and Jarvis Family documents (collection 2023.18.1), a collection of about 100 deeds and mortgages to land in Concord, from 1777 to 1909. Document, folded, written in ink. Front of document reads, "DEED / James Wood / to / Francis Jarvis / Hillsborough (illeg) / Rec'd August 27, 1845 / Recorded Vol. 233 / Page 101 and Expand (illeg) / Edwin A. Bodwell Reg." At the bottom in pink / mauve colored ink is written, "Grantee". Inside is written, "Know all Men by these Presents, / that I James Wood of Concord - / in the County of Middlesex and Commonwealth of Massachusetts yeoman / in consideration of four hundred dollars to me paid by / Francis Jarvis of Concord aforementioned gentleman..." for a parcel of pasture land in Hillsborough County in New Hampshire.
