DescriptionFlat bottom, top has circular molding cut into it, with hemi-spherical piece applied in center. Nose fits over block at front of bottom. Hinge area has reinforcing piece of leather cut in strips at center and interwoven with four strips from sides. Leather of bellows nailed to edge of top and bottom piece with round head nails, extra strip of leather under nails. Two braces, presumably twigs, inside bellows. At one time were straps from bottom handle, now missing. Hole in center of bottom peice, edge of which is molded, for valve. Valve is piece of wood covered and hinged with leather. Varnished, not original.
