DescriptionTop and bottom flat pieces of wood with handles cut from same pieces. Nose is hollow cast brass (seams are visible) with reel and ring turnings, fits over bottom and wood block at front of bottom, nailed in place. Leather nailed with round head nails to edge of top and bottom, extra strip of leather under nails. Two twigs inside bellows to keep shaped. Area where top hinged has reinforcing, interwoven strips of leather. Hole in bottom piece for intake, wood valve hinged and covered with leather. Bottom painted white. Top has white (?) background with large red rose on black stem with green leaves highlighted with black. Originally a second rose to left. Border of black line and red and green leaves. Top handle black border with leaves in center.
