DescriptionRundlet: made like a small barrel in oval shape with flat bottom. One large, relatively flat stave on bottom, three curved staves per side, one stave at top with thick area around hole in center of top. End pieces set into grooves in staves. Originally two hoops at each end, one now missing. Hoops lapped together and nailed into staves. Leather strap nailed to each end of top stave. Cork inside. In one end pieces carved initials possibly H.D.V. only "D" is clear. Painted or stained dark color (discoloration?).
