DescriptionMahogany. Chippendale bedstead. Foot posts are fluted and terminate in well carved claw and ball feet. Approx. 9 inches from top of each is square block, above which the posts are plain. Head posts are chamfered at edges. Head board is low and plain. Bottom is laced with ropes through holes in the side rails. Original bottom to bed still exists. Displayed with reproduction bed hangings based on originals in the collection.
