DescriptionBodice for evening dress COS86.22. Three piece, bodice (COS86.22.1), skirt (COS86.22.2), and 2 sleeves (COS86.22.3). Creme colored silk faille, 3 piece dress.Bodice has been reworked with new sleeves (same fabric, lighter color) that are very puffed and come to above elbow; original 3/4 sleeves are fitted with cord trim and cuff detail; bodice hooks up front--neck made lower with pearl, gimpe, bead trim attached to neckline; cotton satteen (sateen?) lining; seams are boned. Worn with petticoat, Cos86.34. Silk faille, 2 piece, with older (1880s) straight sleeves. Began late 1880s, skirt and bodice altered, sleeves added.
