DescriptionTwo piece black taffeta; skirt (COS78.63.2) gored with 8" valence at hem with pleated edging underneath; fitted boned bodice (COS78.63.1); high neck; hooks up front; large puff sleeves. Goes with Cos78.64. Black silk taffeta. 2 piece, bodice and skirt. Puff added to elbow over original straight sleeve. Might be 1880s bodice updated with puff and rather high collar. Piece added to skirt to change line (hides original ruffle trim), c. 1900.
