DescriptionEvening, "summer" dress. Brown figured silk mull with pink and green flowers, all hand-made; built over white cambric; low V-neck, long open sleeve trimmed with braid; material pleated wot a point at the waist; skirt tightly gathered with double row of gathers at waist. Barege (silk or silk and wool, sheer). Silk warp, wool weft. 1848-52 bell sleeves. Curved seam at back of bodice, just c. 1850. Day dress, summer or special occassion.
