DescriptionPrincess-style, round-skirt dress, silk chiffon (silk voile) in black and cream. With red and gold embroidery of leaf design. Button front closure, pleated stand-up collar, puffed and tucked 3/4 length sleeves, asymetrical drapery and tucks decorating the lower part of the skirt and button trim.

Barege, weft dyed. No piping, vertical armhole, flat thin button. Bustle low. Slight asymmetry to draping at back. 1879-80.
