DescriptionWood, metal foil, polychrome paint. Seems to be a replacement for Chinese export teacaddy. Originally painted a greenish-white. Thin strips of gold colored metal applied around rim, and between finial and rim. Finial covered with sheet of same metal, with serrated edges and slit sides to make it fit. Between two strips are four designs, each a flower consisting of four green dots around a red one. Bottom has remains of piece of tin foil. Apparently hard-carved rather than lathe-turned, not symmetrical.
