DescriptionDocument from Derby and Jarvis Family documents (collection 2023.18.1), a collection of about 100 deeds and mortgages to land in Concord, from 1777 to 1909. Folded document, written in ink. Front panel reads, "Deed / Jonas Lee to F. Jarvis / of part of Barn back of the / Meeting House." On verso, is written, "Concord March 27th 1807 Rec'd of Francis Jarvis / thirty dollars in full of all demands on him /" etc. Inside document reads, "Know all men by their presents, that I, Jonas / Lee of Concord in the County of Middle / -sex and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Esq.r / in consideration of fifty dollars paid one / by Francis Jarvis... and convey / to the said Francis Jarvis, part of my barn / standing on the towns land back of the meeting house in said Concord..." etc. Signed by Jonas Lee, Charles Hammond, and Jonathan Curtis.
