DescriptionDocument from Derby and Jarvis Family documents (collection 2023.18.1), a collection of about 100 deeds and mortgages to land in Concord, from 1777 to 1909. Folded document, written in ink. Front panel reads, "Deed / Abel Davis / to / Francis Jarvis / Rec'd 5th September 1809." Inside panel reads, "Middlesex ss. Cambridge 5 Sept 1809 Rec'd & Entered / the Registry of Deeds Book 184 Page 432 / Attest. Sam'l Bartlett, Reg." Document reads, "...I Abel Davis of Concord in the County of / Middlesex, and Commonwealth of Massachusetts / Gentleman / in Consideration of two hundred and sixty dollars / paid y Francis Jarvis of the same Concord, Baker / the Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, do herey give, grant, sell and convey unto the said / Francis Jarvis...a certain / tract or parcel of river meadow land lying in said / Concord..." etc. Signed by Abel Davis, Lavinia Davis, and John Tuttle.
