DescriptionDocument from Derby and Jarvis Family documents (collection 2023.18.1), a collection of about 100 deeds and mortgages to land in Concord, from 1777 to 1909. Folded document, written in ink. Middle panel reads, "Daniel Cray and others / to / Mr. Sam.l Swan / Deed / Rec'd March 14th, 1798 / Entered & Examined / 393". Document reads, "Know All Men by these Presents that / we Daniel Cray Housewright Elizabeth Cray his / wife & Samuel Dudley Blacksmith and Lucy Darby / his wife all of Concord in the County of Middlesex... in / consideration of eight pounds five shillings lawful / money to us paid by Sam.l Swan of the same town... convey to the said Samuel Swan and to his / Heirs and Assigns forever a certain track of land / being upland containing two acres and fifty four / rods lying in Concord..." etc.
