DescriptionManuscript on paper, bound. Lined ledger from the Colonial Inn of cash received and cash dispersed. Ledger of 101 numbered pages gathered in signatures and bound in black cloth with leather spine, marbled end papers. Filled with manuscript entries to p. 73 dated from December 1906 to November 1907. Several newspaper articles pasted to one fly leaf.

A group of ten loose receipts dated in the 1920s were interleaved (removed to object folder). All are receipts for Thomas L. Sanborn: picture of the inn; newspaper article from the Boston Courier July 1907 4th of July Menu, newspaper article from the Quincy Patriot August 7, 1907 about a trolley trip to Concord; newspaper article from the Manchester Cricket no date "Massachusetts Press Association Outing" where they went to Concord; newspaper article from Newton Center Massachusetts about a trip to Concord; a receipt from the Jordan Marsh Company in Boston for misc. household goods May 1923; receipt from the National War Finance Committee of the American Red Cross to Mr. Thomas L. Sanborn for the contribution of $5 dated May 23, 1918; two receipts from the Allen-Hurd Co. venders of fruits and vegetables September 28, 1923 and October 1, 1923; receipt from Ward's Stationers in Boston dated November 25, 1922; receipt from the Concord Municipal Light Plant for meter readings March 2, 1920 (electric bill); receipt Middlesex Family Laundry Company from Maynard Massachusetts notation payment received September 25, 1920; receipt Joseph Whitcomb and Company Cigar Manufacturers Springfield, MA, November 10, 1922; receipt for Concord Municipal Light Plant for meter readings (electric bill) February 3, 1920; receipt for Concord Municipal Light Plant for meter readings February 3, 1920 (electric bill); receipt for Concord Municipal Light Plant for meter readings March 2, 1920 (electric bill). Pasted in items: advertisements for the Colonial Inn; 4th of July Menus; reviews and a picture of the Inn.
