DescriptionOval tinplate serving tray. Flat bottom, to which is flanged a fence, slightly angled out. Handle holes cut into each end of fence. Jappaned and painted: black all over. Green band (originally blue?) with repeated gold (and green?) leaves with black stems, outlined with thin gold lines, flanked by thin red lines around inside rim of top. Around inside of fence is single thin gold line. Black probably repainted on outside and bottom. Large patch on front where paint has flaked or was never repainted. "Toleware."
