DescriptionPair of fire buckets (a,b), painted leather with leather handles on iron rings. Both made of two piece of leather, one at bottom, and one piece for sides, sewn to bottom piece, seamed on one side, and rolled in and sewn at top. Slightly curved in at bottom, tops flared out somewhat. Leather loops at rim of each hold iron rings which hold round leather handles. Leather painted; Gray inside, pumpkin outside; black rim, handle, and bottom. In brown letters, with black shadowing, arching across front of buckets: "Concord Fire Society". In center of this: "1794". Around this green and red scrolled line decoration. Brown arched band at bottom with red outline. Repainted.
