Inside lid: "Bear's Oil, prepared and purified by Ebenezer Wight, Druggist and Apothecary, Milk (opposite Federal) Street, Boston." On bottom: "Bought of Lorenzo Eaton dealer in wooden and willow ware, brooms, mats, pails, mop handles, wash boards, baskets, knife baskets, etc. No. 5 & 6 Holmes' block, Haymarket Square. [part of date 18--]". Piece of paper inside box with sewing needles: "from Alice Sohier."
