DescriptionMahogany. Chippendale side chair with slip seat. "Cupid's bow" crest rail with carved center; turned back, carved ears. Crest rail and splat carved as one design, with two pairs of bands curving out and in. Rails shaped: sides scooped, front scalloped, top edges molded. Cabriole front legs with knee brackets & replacement ball & claw feet. Upholstered in pink silk damask (chair covering from Miss Beatrice Gunn). Includes most elements of the formal Chippendale style.
