DescriptionLacquered sewing box. Work box. Oblong, sides curved and stands on four gilded metal dragon feet. Lid locks with key. Decoration in colors on yellow ground. Chinese landscape with two Chinese ladies on lid, vine and floral borders. Chinese houses and trees on front of box and flower motifs on three sides. Interiors lines with bright blue paper and divided into sections for sewing utensils - thread, needle case, silk pincushions and etc. Several utensils in box - scissor, crochet hook, metal and ivory needle cases and 3 spools of silk. Paper bound French diary.
