Description"Sewing box." Lacquered black with dull gold and bronze decoration. Eight sided, three dull gold feet (two at front corners and one at center of rear). Handle on either side. Inside in top is a tray with 15 compartments containing ivory sewing materials including pincushions, ivory thread winders, ivory spools, ivory and bone needles, etc. A drawer, containing six compartments, all finely lacquered, pulls out at front of box; holds a master key which locks the entire box.
