DescriptionLeather lined with pink moire silk, has bellows ends and long leather handles. Contains: 1 file, 1 flat ivory stick, 1 piece carved ivory, 5 crochet hooks, 1 card board ruler, 7 bobbins (4 of wood, 1 of marble, 2 of mother of pearl), 1 silver (?) thimble, 2 bone spools, 1 spool of 120 cotton, 1 spool wound with pink ribbon, 1 ball of black and white cotton cord, 1 piece sealing wax, 1 embroidery stiletto, 1 metal case (for needles?), 1 wooden cylinderical case with plaid design containing tape needles and sewing needles, 1 yellow cylindrical box of assorted needles. In cover pocket is the following: lock of gray hair labeled Mrs. Newcomb, lock of blonde hair labeled my darling, newspaper clippings of four poems, and Lincoln's Gettysburg address.
