DescriptionSide chair, country Chippendale style. Unusually broad seat. Top rail curves down to stiles. Two metal ornaments at corners, later additions. Outline of splat is short concave and long cyma. Legs are straight, reeded at corners and have straight underbracing. Later addition of rose-colored upholstery lies half loose (connected on only two sides) on top of previous (original?) black upholstery.
