DescriptionPine, plaster, glass. Architectural, federal style mirror. Large mirrored glass at bottom, small reverse-painted glass at top set into frame with applied pine and plaster decoration. Engaged, fluted half columns on blocks to each side with corinthian capitals with three leaves each, beaded upper edge with dart molding. Columns support two blocks, between which molding with dart lower edge, cove with large beading, smaller beading all across top. Frame gilt, some burnishing on four corner blocks. Reverse-painted scene on upper glass: landscape with red tower, lake, hills, and trees; flanked by white ovals with silver hatching and silver points, on light blue; white border with silver leaf pattern. Pine backing panel with beveled edges. Brass ring at top for hanging.
