DescriptionSkirt to four piece afternoon dress (jacket COS0074.0165.1, shirt COS0074.0165.2, skirt COS0074.0165.3) and petticoat (COS0074.0165.4). Afternoon dress. Pink and white stripe silk, 3 piece, short sleeve, bodice hooks in back. 3/4 length sleeves with ruffle, square neck crochet pink buttoned jacket. Skirt has 3 ruffles, fitted at hips and worn with creme petticoat, bustle back to be worn with Cos74.165a. Evening bodice, pink and white. 1850s had sheer pink net trim. No skirt, incomplete; check history. Pink and white striped silk. 4 pieces; short sleeve bodice, long sleeve bodice with buttons, square neck and ruffle trim, skirt and petticoat. Skirt of Cos74.165 and bodice became a skirt and jacket of 1870s. Petticoat not period, dates to 1908-10. Skirt remade, had buckram to support bustle. May be remade as early as 1868-69.
