DescriptionSkirt to two piece afternoon dress (bodice COS0051.0024.1 and skirt COS0051.0024.2). Dark greenish blue grosgrain silk; tight-fitting bodice with whale bones, buttons and fringe on hem of bodice made of balls beaded in green bronze; 3/4 length sleeves to be worn with gold band bracelets; skirt with pleated ruffles and over-drapery; size waist 24, bust 36. Should have a ruche at neck and a brooch. Room 16? Blue silk taffeta. Jacket and skirt of blue silk. Long bodice. Six piece back to jacket. Interest in surface decoration. Asymmetrical. 1883-84.
