Turned arm supports are screwed into the seat frame and extend below; a rod stretcher is tenoned into the lower extensions of the arm support below the seat. Three additional turned spindles support the flat scrolled arms, which are screwed to the rear stiles, which are themselves tenoned into the seat frame. The back consists of five arrow spindles between a lower rail tenoned into the stiles and the wise crest rail imposed over the stiles and screwed from the back; the crest rail has a padded panel like the seat.
