Description1995.20.45a: wood fan with heavy gilt paint decoration, depicting men and women on a terrace. Paper band connects slats at top, approximately 3.5" wide; colored image of a group of men and women, dancing in what looks like a pastoral setting. The back of the paper ribbon has three women and one man. Exterior slat has an applied oval mirror, surrounded by a gilt frame. Attached blue silk tassel with blue beads. Brass ring. 1995.20.45b: pasteboard fan box with paper made to look like watermarked silk, applied gilt paper, and a center image of buildings with an aquaduct (European country setting). 1995.20.1-.197: fan collection.
